School District Names New President

The West Chester School District realigned itself Monday night.

Dr. Ricky Swalm, one of four West Chester Area School Board members voted into office in the November election, is hitting the ground running.

The board voted for Swalm to act as Board President for 2014 minutes after he took the oath of office to serve on Monday’s reorganization meeting.

Swalm served on the school board from 2005 to 2011 and acted as president in 2011, according to the school district's website.
