Dr. Ricky Swalm, one of four West Chester Area School Board members voted into office in the November election, is hitting the ground running.

The board voted for Swalm to act as Board President for 2014 minutes after he took the oath of office to serve on Monday’s reorganization meeting.

Swalm served on the school board from 2005 to 2011 and acted as president in 2011, according to the school district's website.

Chris McCune, another newly elected board member, was appointed as board vice president.

Both the President and Vice President terms are set to expire in December 2014.

Joyce Chester and Robin Kaliner, the two other members of the Democratic school board ticket who were elected to the board, were also sworn in. All four new members are set to serve four year terms, which will expire in 2017.

It's spelled Swalm not Swaim...

should be spelled SWARM - as they are not much more than a gaggle of union geese thinking they will have their way with raising property taxes - however, with Corbetts new gas tax, adding billions to the already unsustainable school transportation budget - The education bubble is on a perfect track explode in 2014, just as the real estate bubble popped in 2007 ... and all unions will cease to exist - - -

Drama queen. You only overly dramatize issues you think are important or fit your twisted agenda, such a troll.
