School District Honors Retirees

The West Chester Area School District held a reception honoring retirees last month.

The following is a press release from the West Chester Area School District.

On Tuesday, May 29th, members of the West Chester Area School District offered best wishes and a fond farewell to retiring employees representing more than 800 years of collective service. Held at B. Reed Henderson High School, the Retiree Appreciation Reception featured staff leaving the District from nearly every department, including facilities & operations, technology, teaching, coaching, business affairs, administration and support staff.

Retirees and guests were able to mingle and swap stories while being treated to light snacks and refreshments. A string “quartet” comprised of six student-musicians serenaded the audience with beautiful background music throughout the beginning of the reception.
