The West Chester School Board is expected to vote on the final budget for the 2011-2012 school year tomorrow ending an eight-week process.

The school board had originally projected a deficit in the neighborhood of one million dollars for next year; however, when Tom Corbett announced his budget cuts for education spending that number swelled to $3.4 million.

The school district is expected to cover the deficit by eliminating staff positions through retirement, and also changing the schools' bus and transportation schedule to increase efficiency.
