Henderson Ranks 5th in County SAT Scores

Henderson ranks fifth in SAT scores compared to other Chester County Schools. East is ninth, and Rustin is 10th.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education released SAT result data for 2011, and Henderson is ranked fifth out of 15 when compared to other high schools in Chester County.

East is ranked ninth out of 15 and Rustin is 10th.

Henderson had a combined average score of 1609, while East’s combined average was 1565 and Rustin’s was 1555.

The highest ranked high school in the county is Conestoga High School in the Tredyffrin-Easttown School district with a combined average score of 1755.

Coatesville is the lowest ranked high school in the county with an average combined score of 1363.

Henderson also scored the highest in all three scoring categories when compared to the other West Chester High Schools. 

Henderson ranked fifth in verbal scores with an average of 537.  Henderson’s math average also ranked fifth at 549 as their writing score of 523.

East ranked 10th in verbal at 518.  They also ranked ninth in math at 533 and eighth in writing with a score of 514.

Rustin ranked ninth in the county with a verbal score of 520.  Rustin ranked 11th with a math score of 527 and 11th with a writing score of 508.

It should be noted that nine points separated the 12th ranked school from the seventh ranked school in math scores. 

Also in writing 11 points separated the 11th placed school from the seventh placed school.
