West Chester Reorganizes

Borough Council reorganizes to start 2012.

The reorganized on Monday night during a meeting that saw two new council members sworn-in.

Jordan Norley from the fourth ward and Stephen Shinn from the sixth ward both took their seats on council after winning their respective elections in November.

"I want to thank my constituents that voted for me," Norley said.  "And I want them to know that I will always keep in mind the fourth ward."

Jones was also voted council vice president, and Holly Brown was elected to another term as council president.

"I don't know if it's an honor, or if you're just passing the buck," Brown joked.  "Either way it's going to be a roller coaster ride the next few years on council."

The newly formed council will hold its first meeting at the January worksession on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
