Chesco Commissioners Approve Contracts Totaling More Than $4M

Contracts range from $640-$1.5M, including a $49k contract for ice cream products.

Chester County County Commissioners approved contracts for work and services totalling $4,036,750.04 during their regular meeting Thursday in West Chester.

The bulk of the contracts awarded are for contractor work at the new Chester County Public Saftey Training Facility. The spending amounts range from $640 for "Physician Sales and Service" at the Pocopson Home to just over $1.5 million for renovations to the Public Safety Training Facility.

Among the contracts approved by the commissioners is $49,132.48 for "Ice Cream Products" for Pocopson Home. Jack and Jill Ice Cream Co. was the only bidder on that contract.

The contracts approved by the commissioners Thursday include:

•Boiler for the Chesco Justice Center (HVAC portion): $79,000 to Five Star Inc.

•Boiler for the Chesco Justice Center (Electrical): $28,350 to Cook's Service Co. Inc.

•Enterprise (Computer) Storage Upgrade: $1,119,120 to Essex Technology Group Inc.

•Renovations for Chesco Public Safety Training Facility (General Construction) $1,538,000 to Sha-Nic Inc.

•Renovations for Chesco Public Safety Training Facility (Electrical): $589,925 to Martell Electric Co., a division of Martell Construction Co. Inc.

•Renovations for Chesco Public Safety Training Facility (HVAC): $532,000 to Goshen Mechanical Inc.

•Renovations for Chesco Public Safety Training Facility (Fire Protection): $67,650 to TMI Commercial Inc.

•Kitchen Supplies and Paper Products for Pocopson Home:

-$640 to Physician Sales and Service

-Singer Equipment Co. Inc.: $20,397.56

-Penn Jersey Paper Co.: $2,997

-Aladdine Temp-Rite: $9,538

•Ice Cream Products for Pocopson Home: $49,132.48 to Jack and Jill Ice Cream Co.
