Borough Committes to Discuss Budgets, Chickens and Thornbury
The West Chester Borough Council Committees will meet Tuesday to discuss the 2013 budget as well as allowing citizens to raise chickens and the loss of Thornbury Township's police services contract.
The final three borough council committees meet Tuesday night starting at 5:30 p.m.. They include public safety, finance and planning, zoning and industrial development.

Public Safety

The big agenda here would've been the service agreement with Thornbury Township for police services. However, Thornbury agreed to the new WEGO deal that went through on Monday, and now the borough has to redraft its public safety budget without that Thornbury money.
Public Safety will also discuss the police and fire department budgets as well as quality of life enforcement in the university neighborhoods.

Finance
The finance committee will discuss the 2013 draft budget for the borough as well as establishing a fee for wedding that take place on top of the Chesnut Street Garage.
The committee will also discuss upgrading the audio and visual equipment in the council chambers.
Planning Zoning and Industrial Development
The PZBID Committee will once again discuss allowing chickens to be kept in the borough. There will also be a discussion on the final land development plan for the property located at 220 East Chestnut Street.
