The Public Works Committee will once again be discussing storm water management fees.  This is a process that will continue through the rest of the year.  The borough wants to implement a fee that would charge residents for storm water management based on impervious coverage.  Borough Council sees it as a way to earn extra revenue as it will most likely affect the borough’s tax-exempt parcels like West Chester University.  On Monday, the committee will review the recommendations put out by an engineering firm on how exactly this process will work.

Parks and Recreation

This agenda is relatively empty.  There will be an interview to replace someone on Borough Leaders United for Emissions Reduction as well as updates on recreation projects and the recreation commission.

Parking

The Parking Committee will continue to explore limiting the number of parking permits allowed per dwelling unit on certain blocks.  The borough is looking for a way to alleviate parking problems specifically in student-dense neighborhoods.  This item has been on the agenda for several months.  The borough continues to search for a legal way to do this.  There will also be discussions around hiring a new parking director and maybe even a discussion about realigning the parking department with the police department.
