Woman Allegedly Runs Red Light, Gets DUI
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
DUI: On Sept. 14, at approximately 2 a.m., West Chester Police pulled over borough resident Shirley Hyatt in the 50 block of Magnolia Street after she allegedly drove through a red light at the intersection of High and Price Streets almost striking a police car. Upon being stopped, officers allegedly smelled alcohol on Hyatt’s breath, and she was requested to perform four field sobriety tests. Police allege that she failed all four. Police then took her to the Chester County Hospital to have blood drawn.
Possession: On Sept. 14, at approximately 1:26 a.m. West Chester police located 21-year-old Freehold, N.J., resident Harold Bolton in the 200 block of West Market Street. Bolton was found to be allegedly intoxicated and taken into custody without incident. He was also allegedly to be found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
