Woman Allegedly Parks Car in the Middle of the Street

Theft: On Dec. 24, West Chester Police responded to 26 South High Street for a report of a theft.  The victim reported her iPod was stolen during a party she hosted of about 17 friends on Saturday Dec. 22, and she reported last seeing the iPod inside her bedroom at approximately 6:30 p.m.  The victim described the iPod as white 4th generation with an estimated value of $200.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.

DUI: On Dec. 22 an erratic driver was reported traveling east on Route 322 from Boot Road.  The vehicle had stopped near the Town’s Edge Apartments.  Police located the vehicle in the 500 block of West Marshall Street stopped in the roadway with the engine still running.  The driver was identified as 53-year-old Reading resident Valerie Workman.  After allegedly failing a field sobriety test she was arrested for an alleged DUI.
