West Chester Police Blotter: Truck Driver Robbed at Knife Point

All suspects innocent until proven guilty.

Theft: On Nov. 19, were summoned to where an employee reported the theft of his wallet and paycheck from his vehicle parked overnight in the rear lot.  Video footage of the incident was obtained by police, and on Nov. 20, around 3 p.m., police arrested John Sabin for alleged theft and receiving stolen property.

Theft: On Nov. 19, around 10 p.m., a tow truck driver was robbed while parked in the parking lot of Bradford Plaza at 690 Downingtown Pike in West Chester.  The suspect was an African-American male, approximately 30 years of age and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.  The suspect cut the driver with a knife and fled on foot southbound.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.

Theft: On Oct. 22, around 9 p.m., police were dispatched to the 100 block of East Prescott for a report of a subject attempting to get into numerous vehicles.  Upon arrival, police viewed a suspect attempt to get into four vehicles.  The subject was walking the area trying door handles.  Police stopped the man and identified him as Phillip Durnell, 50, West Chester.  Durnell was intoxicated and arrested for alleged public drunkenness, and attempted theft.  Upon searching Durnell, police discoved two stolen credit cards.
