West Chester Police Blotter: Drug Possession, Aggravated Assault and Burglary

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: Police arrested Huntington Beach, Calif. resident John Waselus, 47, on suspicion of DUI on August 14, after Waselus was observed exiting the Chestnut Street garage where he allegedly almost struck the attendant’s booth with his vehicle.

Drug Possession: Twenty-two-year-old Norristown resident Joseph Billito was arrested on suspicion of drug possession on August 13, around 3:50 a.m.  Police approached Billito’s vehicle as it was parked in the Wawa parking lot on East Gay Street.  Police found Bilito asleep behind the wheel of his car with the engine running and the lights on.  Police also allege that Billito had a syringe in his lap while he slept, and that when police woke him, he appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic.

Burglary and Assault: Police arrested 22-year-old David Wilson of Secane, Delaware County, of alleged burglary, criminal trespass and assault on the morning of August 13.  Wilson stands accused of breaking into a home on the 600 block of South Matlack Street through an unsecured second-floor window around 2:32 that morning.  Police allege that upon entering the house, Wilson assaulted two of the home’s residents before fleeing out the rear entrance to the home.  Police captured Wilson after a brief foot chase.

Aggravated Assault: Police responded to a call about an incident involving a knife near the intersection of High and Gay streets on August 13 around 1:36 a.m.  Police arrived on the scene where the suspect, Adam McNeil, 25, Philadelphia, was identified.  When police identified the suspect, McNeil took off on foot, and was then apprehended by police after a brief foot chase.  Police have charged McNeil with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault and resisting arrest.
