The West Chester Police Department have arrested over 600 people between mid-August and December, 2013, according to a release from the department.
West Chester police have released Fall numbers from their “Operation Vigilance” program, which targets quality-of-life crimes traditionally perpetrated by younger borough residents.
According to the department:
- 611 people were arrested between August 19 and Dec 1
- The highest number of arrests in a given week was 102, in the week of Oct7 to Oct 13.
- The two most common causes for arrest in the Fall were “public drunkenness” and “noise disturbances.”
