West Chester Man Threatened to Shoot Man and Dog, Police Say

The bizzarre incident occurred in Willow Alley.

Man Theatens to Shoot Dog Walker, Dog

A 42-year-old West Chester man was arrested on Thursday after police say he threatened to shoot a man and his dog.

According to West Chester Police, at 9 p.m. the night of the crime, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Willow Alley for a reported disturbance. The victim told police that while he was in the alley, an unknown man threatened to shoot him and his dog, police say.

The victim described the man, and police say they were consequently able to track down and apprehend the defendant.

The victim positively identified the defendant, and he was arrested and charged with simple assault and terroristic threats. The defendant was released from prison on 10 percent of $10,000 bail and faces preliminary hearing on Thursday.

DUI

On April 4, West Chester Police pulled over a 25-year-old West Chester man for driving erratically and committing several traffic violations, police say. The driver displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and took and failed several field sobriety tests, police say.

The defendant was arrested and charged with DUI.
