West Chester Man Jailed After Swiping Engagement Ring, Police Say

The defendant split the ring and sold it in Delco and Philadelphia, according to police.

A 22-year-old West Chester man is in Chester County Prison after police say he stole an engagement ring and other jewels from a home on the 1200 block of Knollwood Drive.

On Monday, West Goshen Police responded to the home after they received a report that the $2,000 ring had been stolen. According to court documents, the victim suspected that an acquaintance had taken the ring.

West Goshen Police say they asked other local law enforcement agencies if they knew of the suspect, and if so, had he sold jewelry at any establishments in their areas. West Whiteland police answered in the affirmative; the defendant, they said, had sold “numerous” pieces of jewelry in their township.
