One in Custody After East Goshen Wawa Robbery
The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department arrest a suspect after a robbery took place in the Wawa parking lot on Paoli Pike.
On Dec. 27, at 7:56 p.m. the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department responded to the parking lot of the Wawa located in the 1500 block of Paoli Pike for a reported robbery.
The adult male victim reported to police that as he exited the Wawa Store, and he was approached by a male who asked for directions. As the victim provided the male with directions, the male announced that he had a gun and would shoot the victim unless the victim turned over his wallet and cell phone.
The victim complied and provided his wallet and cell phone to the man who entered the passenger area of a silver car that drove around the back of the Wawa and left the area.

As a result of this investigation it was determined that a credit card stolen from the victim was used for multiple transactions that were not authorized. Video was obtained from a retail location in Delaware County and then Detectives began to focus on a residence in Chester, Pennsylvania.
As a result of a detailed investigation by the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, and assistance from Chester City Police, Philadelphia Police and the United States Marshal’s Office, Ryan Bailey Jr. (age 24) from the 5500 block of Race Street in Philadelphia was identified as the person that completed the robbery.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Ryan Corey Bailey with robbery, criminal conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, access device fraud, identity theft and terrorist threats. Ryan Corey Bailey is currently being held in Philadelphia on unrelated charges and a detainer has been filed for the Chester County charges.
Detectives located and seized the silver vehicle involved in this case along with the identities of two other individuals who were in the vehicle when the robbery occurred. Detectives also determined that the male victim was followed by the trio from Harrah’s Casino in Chester before the robbery.
This investigation remains active and additional arrests may be made.
