Two Arrested for iPad Theft

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department arrest two for allegedly stealing an iPad.

The following is a press release from the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department

On Dec. 8, 2012, a resident from the 1600 block of East Strasburg Road in East Goshen reported that an Apple iPad valued at $429.00 dollars was stolen from the residence.  The victim provided police with names of individuals that had access to the residence and area where the Apple iPad was stolen from on Dec. 7.

Through the investigation it was determined that two named guests appeared at the West Goshen Game Stop Store and sold the stolen iPad for $279.00 dollars on Dec. 7.

Detectives identified two Chester resdidents: Alexie Candelario, 34, and Giovann Candelario-Cruz, 32, as the two individuals that entered the store and sold the iPad.  Arrests warrants were issued by Magisterial District Judge Chester F. Darlington on Dec. 17, for criminal conspiracy to theft, theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property. 

On Dec. 24, Alexie Candelario was taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Parole Agents in Chester and turned over to detectives with the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department.

Alexie Candelario was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Darlington and released on $5,000.00 dollars unsecured bail. 

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is still seeking to arrest Giovann Candelario-Cruz on an active arrest warrant.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this individual are urged to contact the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department at 610-692-5100.
