Report: Arrest Made in West Chester Murder

Police have arrested a suspect for the murder in the borough last Friday morning.

reports that police have made an arrest in the murder of Towayne Uqdah that occured early Friday morning at the corner of Chestnut and North Matlack Streets.

The have arrested James Potts for the alleged murder of Towayne Uqdah and they have charged Potts with first degree murder after he allegedly shot Uqdah nine times.

“This was an ambush on the streets of West Chester, in the area of residential dwellings and on the cusp of our town center,” West Chester Police Chief Scott Bohn said in a written statement.
