Police: Two Men Try to Run Out on $125 Bar Tab

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Theft: On Feb. 19, at approximately 1:02 a.m., West Chester police investigated a disturbance in the 50 block of South High Street.  Police determined that the disturbance was the result of two males fleeing Ram’s Head Bar and Grill prior to paying a $125 bar tab.  As a result of the investigation, John Metz, 21, Narbeth, and Drew Keilt, 24, also Narbeth, were arrested and lodged until sober.  They were both charged with alleged theft of services and public drunkenness.

DUI: On Feb. 18, at approximately 4:43 a.m., police conducted a vehicle stop in the 50 block of Magnolia Street.  The vehicle had allegedly been observed operating after dark with no headlights on.  Officers made contact with the driver, Ian Gerber, 22, Feasterville.  Investigation revealed that Gerber had allegedly been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.  Gerber was arrested and transported to the Chester County Hospital for blood testing.
