Police: Man Runs Through the Woods to Avoid Cab Fare

All suspects innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: On Feb. 24, at approximately 3 a.m., responded to the intersection of Miner and New Streets for a report of a motor vehicle accident.  As a result of the accident, Kristen Langford, 30, West Chester, was arrested for an alleged DUI.

Theft of Services: On Feb. 26, at approximately 8:16 a.m., West Chester police responded to a report of a theft in East Bradford Township.  Police made contact with the victim, a taxi driver employed by the Chester City Cab Company.  The driver stated that he transported a man from the city of Chester to a residence in East Bradford.  The man allegedly exited the taxi without paying the $72 fare and fled through the wooded area behind the property.

Police located the defendant, Johnathan Orraca-Tetteh, at his residence about a mile away.  The cab driver allegedly identified Orraca-Tetteh as the man who skipped out on the fare.  Orraca-Tettah was arrested and processed.

DUI: On Feb. 22, at approximately 12:59 a.m., police arrested Anthony Welsh, West Chester for an alleged DUI.  According to police, Welsh was observed speeding in the 50 block of East Market Street when police pulled him over.  Welsh allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest.
