Police Make 24 Arrests Between Aug. 20-26

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Burglary: On Sept. 1, at approximately 3:58 a.m., West Chester Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of East Nields Street for a report of subjects attempting to force their way into the residence.  Upon arrival officers observed the front door was open and appeared to have been forced.  A 23-year-old victim had scrapes on his head, neck and chest and was bleeding from his right ear.  The victim indicated that 20-year-olds Patrick Hannum and Ian Bush of Reading had allegedly broken in the house and assaulted the victim.  Hannum and Bush were present in the bedroom and taken into custody without incident.

Stats: From the dates of Aug. 20-26 the West Chester police made 24 arrests.  They break down by the following offenses:
