Police Blotter: Woman Crashes into Building, Gets DUI
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
DUI: On Dec. 30, officers observed a one vehicle crash into a metal traffic pole in the 100 block of North High Street. Police made contact with the operator of the vehicle who was identified as Leah Emerson, 25, West Chester. Police allegedly noticed an odor of “alcoholic beverage” about her breath and person along with bloodshot and glassy eyes. Police found Emerson to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol through the investigation.
DUI: On March 7, at approximately 9:01 p.m., police arrested Laura Sapyta, Chester Springs, for an alleged DUI after she ran into a building while attempting to park her car. Saptya was driving under suspension at the time of arrest.
