Police Blotter: Man Tasered while Resisting Arrest

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: On March 8, at approximately 12:40 a.m., West Chester police arrested West Chester resident Ronald Matthews Jr. was arrested for a DUI after being stopped for alleged traffic violations.  According to police Matthews was also driving with a suspended license after a previous DUI.

Resisting Arrest: On March 3, at approximately 3:28 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Magnolia Street in the borough.  Upon arrival officers discovered very loud music and contacted subjects at the front door.  One of the subjects, 24-year-old Downingtown resident Michael Lesch allegedly became very belligerent and unruly.  After allegedly interfering with the officers completing their duties and not listening to orders Lesch was placed under arrest.  Lesch did resist and was subsequently tasered to gain compliance.  Lesch was transported to WCPD and later released pending summons once he was sober.
