Police Blotter: DUI and Drug Possession

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: Police arrested 21-year-old Wyncote, PA, resident Elija Morris on September 1, on suspicion of DUI.  Police allegedly observed Morris go the wrong way on the 50 blocks of South and North Church Streets, fail to signal at three intersections and fail to completely stop at the Church Street intersections with Gay and Darlington Streets.  Police pulled Morris over where he allegedly failed a field sobriety test, and Morris was taken to Chester County Hospital for blood-alcohol content testing.

Drug Possession: Police arrested 22-year-old Bethlehem resident Matthew Firman on September 4, after police allegedly observed Firman "engage in suspected illegal drug activity."  Police charged Firman with possession of a controlled substance.

Drug Possession: Police took 23-year-old Philadelphia resident David Burke into custody on a warrant on September 5.  After searching Burke, police allegedly found 29 baggies of crack-cocaine as well as two baggies of marijuana.  Police charged burke with possession of a controlled substance and intent to distribute.
