Police arrest Three in Drug Bust

The following is a press release from the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department.

On November 9, 2012 the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department concluded a three month undercover drug investigation with the arrest of three brothers who live in Birmingham Township, Chester County, PA for drug law violations.

Between August 13, 2012 and November 8, 2012 members of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, Chester County Municipal Drug Task Force and West Chester Police Department conducted undercover investigations where the three brothers allegedly sold amounts of Oxycodone Hydrochloride tablets to a confidential informant in public parking lots along Paoli Pike and West Chester Pike on six different occasions.

Brian Patrick Hughes, age 27, of the 1000 block of Bottom Lane, West Chester, PA was charged with three counts of drug delivery, two counts of criminal conspiracy to deliver drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of criminal use of a communication facility.

Sean William Hughes, age 29, of the 1000 block of Bottom Lane, West Chester, PA was charged with two counts of drug delivery, one count of criminal conspiracy to deliver drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility.

William Francis Hughes, age 23, of the 1000 block of Bottom Lane, West Chester, PA was charged with three counts of drug delivery, one count of criminal conspiracy to deliver drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of criminal use of a communication facility.

All three defendants were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge William Kraut at District Court 15-2-03 and bail was set at $25,000.00 dollars cash for Brian Hughes and $15,000.00 cash bail for Sean Hughes and William Hughes.  All three were sent to Chester County Prison pending a preliminary hearing on November 14, 2012 before Magisterial District Judge Darlington at District Court 15-2-05.

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department was assisted by the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, Chester County Municipal Drug Task Force, West Goshen Police Department, West Chester Police Department and Birmingham Police Department.
