At 10:28 p.m. Friday, police responded to Route 202 and Stanton Avenue in Westtown Township. Investigators believe Crowley was riding north on 202 when a 49-year-old West Chester man driving his Dodge Ram pickup truck south turned left toward Stanton, into the motorcycle's path.

The two vehicles collided. Good Fellowship Ambulance and Medic 91 transported Crowley—who had been wearing a helmet—to Paoli Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition over the weekend, police said.

Police say the pickup truck driver showed signs of intoxication at the scene and failed sobriety tests. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked for DUI and other traffic offenses. The pickup driver was held in Chester County Prison on a state police parole violation, according to authorities.

The accident remains under investigation by the Chester County Serious Crash Accident Team. Police are seeking witnesses to the accident and are asking anyone with information to call 610-692-5100.
