Man Wakes Up and Crashes into Patrol Car, Police Say

Police say a man fell asleep in a Wawa parking lot before he hit a police car.

Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police: On Feb. 16, West Goshen Police arrested and charged a man with fleeing and eluding police as well as with a DUI after police say he struck a marked police car and failed to stop.

According to police, officers tried to wake the man as he slept in his car in the Wawa parking lot located at 1195 Pottstown Pike.

The man woke up, police say, and then backed into a police car.  According to police, the man drove off, failing to stop.

Police eventually stopped the man at the intersection of Grove Road and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Vehicle Theft: On Feb. 15, at approximately 11:48 a.m., West Goshen police responded to the Rite Aid located at 1249 West Chester Pike for a report of a stolen vehicle.  An employee of the Rite Aid discovered that her red 2006 Nissan Altima was stolen from the parking lot between 10-11:40 a.m.  Police believe that the actor entered the manager’s office inside the store and took the keys for the vehicle.
