Man Arrested After Seeking Police Help

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Drug Possession: On Dec. 11, at approximately 11:20 p.m. West Goshen police assisted a subject with unlocking his vehicle in the Wendy’s parking lot located at 700 East Gay Street.  After an investigation police discovered that the subject had an active warrant for his arrest.  While detaining the subject police also found him to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Theft: On Nov. 27, West Goshen police were dispatched to a theft from a vehicle at approximately 11 a.m.  The victim reported that her vehicle was parked in the lot of ACAC located at 1130 McDermott Drive.  When the victim returned to her vehicle her purse was missing.  The victim told the police of unauthorized activity from her debit card in an area convenience store.  Officers obtained the store security video and identified a suspect.  Police arrested 29-year-old Coatesville resident Steven Thompson for alleged theft.
