Hoodlums Set Off Fire Extinguishers at Warner Hotel Site

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Criminal Trespass: On July 1, at approximately 1:37 a.m., West Chester police on patrol located what appeared to be smoke coming from the construction site located at 120 North High Street.  The fire department was dispatched.  Officers started to check the area and one person was stopped exiting the fenced-in area of the construction site.  Officers gained access to the site, and a second subject fled on foot.  He was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.  The smoke was determined to be the contents of powder fire extinguishers that were set off on the top floor of the building.  Open windows caused the contents to flow out of the windows.  There was no fire in the building.  The officers arrested two suspects in the matter.
