Expired Registration Leads to Drug Charge, West Goshen Police Say

A Reading man was charged with marijuana possession in the area of Route 100 and Route 202 South, according to the department.

A 27-year-old Reading man faces drug charges after he was pulled over, West Goshen Township Police are reporting.

On Sunday at 11:27 a.m., police say they saw a car with expired registration traveling on Route 100 near the area of Route 202 South.

When police pulled the vehicle over, they say then noticed a strong odor of marijuana. The driver was asked about the odor, and though he initially denied possessing the drug, when prodded he admitted that he was hiding some in his sock, police say.

The driver provided the officer with a plastic bag containing marijuana. He was processed and released.
