Police say 25-year-old Curtis Zebley of Kennett Square is being charged with attempted homicide and related charges following an altercation between what police say was a small group of people and at least two men who were injured early Sunday morning on North Chestnut Street in downtown West Chester.
Zbley was being held by West Chester Police Sunday, awaiting arraignment. Police say Zebley was expected to be arraigned via video connection to a magistrate Sunday evening. The result of the scheduled arraignment were not available early Monday morning.
West Chester Police say one man from Harrisburg was treated for gunshot wounds, a second Harrisburg man is suffering less serious injuries.
Full details are still being investigated, but according to police some kind of altercation broke out between the two victims and a small group of people, including the man accused of opening fire. Police say it happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday morning "in the 50 block of North Church Street' in Downtown West Chester.
West Chester Police Chief Scott Bohn says Jason Hotchkin, 34, of Harrisburg was taken to the trauma center at Paoli Hospital where police say he was listed in serious condition on Sunday morning. Police say Hotchkin was shot multiple times in the leg, arms and back.
Police say Maffat Odvor, 43, also from Harrisburg, was treated at Chester County Hospital for "minor injuries from assault."
