Campus Laundromat Burglarized

Also in this police blotter, a West Chester man faces charges after police say he broke into a building from which he had been evicted.

The following incidents were reported by the West Chester Borough Police Department. Arrest, when mentioned, does not suggest conviction.

Burglary

On April 4 at 12:10 a.m., West Chester Police say a man burglarized the Campus Laundromat Store located at 320 South High Street. Police say the defendant, later identified as Brenton Ford, a 28-year-old West Chester man, stole cash from the business. Ford was arrested on April 4, charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, and several misdemeanors related the alleged crime, and confined to Chester County prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. The case was transferred to the Court of Common Pleas, where Ford will be formally arraigned on Thursday.

Domestic Disturbance

On April 14 at 8:33 p.m., West Chester Police responded to the 900 block of Sunset Hollow Road in East Bradford for a report of a domestic disturbance. According to police, a 56-year-old resident of the house was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment. The defendant was released from Chester County Prison on $10,000 bail and will face a preliminary hearing on April 29.

Criminal Trespassing

On April 11, a West Chester man was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing after police say he was captured on video attempting to enter a secured building on the 100 block of North High Street. According to West Chester Police, the man was a former resident of the building, but had been evicted. On March 29, the man broke in and spent the night in one of the common areas of the complex, according to police.
