Borough Plagued by Holiday Burglaries

Police say that a number of burglaries have taken place the last few weeks particularly in the southeastern portion of the borough.

Burglary: On Tuesday, Jan. 1 at approximately 3:30 a.m., West Chester police responded to the 100 block of Lacey Street for a report of a burglary.  Victim reported that sometime between Monday, Dec. 31, and Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 3:30 a.m., unknown actor(s) entered her residence.  Once inside the actor(s) removed a wallet, approximately $70 in cash and jewelry from the bedrooms.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Chester Police Department.

Burglary: On Monday, Dec. 31, West Chester police responded to the 400 block of South Walnut Street for a report of a burglary.  Victim reported that sometime between Dec. 27 and Dec. 31 at 2:42 p.m. unknown actor(s) removed jewelry.  Within the past several weeks, numerous burglaries had been reported in the southeast portion of the borough that involved theft of televisions and other electronic equipment.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Chester Police Department.
