Thief Tries to Steal Car, Ends Up with Safety Goggles

West Goshen Police are investigating the attempted auto theft, which occurred at Fastenal.

West Goshen Police are investigating an attempted theft of a truck from the parking lot of a local industrial supply company.

Sometime between March 20 at 5 p.m. and March 21 at 7 a.m., the department says someone attempted to steal a 2012 Dodge Ram from the parking lot of Fastenal, located at 429 South Bolmar Street.

According to police, employees of the firm say someone entered the locked vehicle and, in an apparent attempt to start the car, damaged the ignition. The would-be thief also stole a pair of safety glasses, valued at $50, from the vehicle. The damage to the ignition was estimated at $500.
