Walnut Street Fight Ends in Unconsciousness, Arrest

According to West Chester Police, a 22-year-old Downingtown man was charged.

A 22-year-old Downingtown man was arrested in the borough this weekend after West Chester Police say he knocked a man unconscious during a fight.

On Saturday night after midnight, West Chester Police responded to the 50 block of Walnut Street for a reported fight. Upon arrival, police say they found a man unconscious in the road. The man was transported to Paoli Memorial Hospital to be treated for head injuries.

After an investigation, police say they arrested a Downingtown man and charged him with aggravated assault and related charges. The defendent's preliminary hearing is pending.
