Alleged Shoplifter Arrested Before Christmas

The following information is provided by the West Goshen Police Department.

A West Chester Woman was arrested on suspicion of retail theft and procession of drugs and paraphernalia, according to a report from the West Goshen Police Department.

According to a release, police were called to the Kmart on Paoli Pike for a possible retail theft on Dec 23. Police arrested a 37-year-old West Chester woman after she was allegedly seen opening a cell phone charger from its packaging and attempting to steal it.

Police say that, upon searching the woman, marijuana and unlabeled prescription pills were found on her person.

According to reports, the woman was turned over to the Chester County DA’s office due to an outstanding bench warrant.
