Community Corner

Voice your opinion about this corner of E. Gay and Walnut

The former Spread Eagle Hotel, built in 1803, suffered a minor fire in 1949 and was demolished. Ironically, it was owned by two females who lived on the Main Line and were told their business could not be salvaged.  The historic character of this corner is again in jeopardy. Attend the borough meeting tomorrow, Dec. 17th and discuss plans for an 8-story hotel.
