AUTUMN IS HERE!

We love this time of year.  And the Market provides all of your Autumn needs: apples and pumpkins for yummy treats or savory soups, coffee and tea for sipping on crisp Fall nights, meat, cheese and produce to make kebabs and scrumptious appetizers for your football tailgate parties, flowers to spruce up your yard and home and even Pumpkin Spice Soap (yes! It's back this week!)

Our October Sweepstakes starts NEXT WEEKEND!  Each Market, you can fill out a form (there will be a table set up) and be entered to win that week's prize. Next Saturday the prize will be a family of pumpkins!  Make sure to enter, and be sure to check back to hear about the subsequent prizes.

Ellen April Handcrafted Soap
Ellen April will be here this week with a selection of their luxurious soaps and body products. Sopmaker's update: The wait is over. This week we will have our limited-edition Autumn classic, pumpkin spice soap!

London Vale Farm

We will have a wide variety of winter squash this weekend.  Did you know that winter squash is low in saturated fat and cholesterol?  Winter squash is a good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, Potassium, Folate, Thiamin, Niacin, Calcium and Magnesium.
Also available this week:  Radishes (regular & daikon varieties)turnipscabbage (red & green varieties),cucumberssweet corn (white & bicolor varieties)bell peppers (red, orange & green varieties), beans (green & yellow varieties)potatoes (red & white varieties – available in half peck baskets too!)onions (red, yellow & white varieties) and Tomatoes (your choice of yellow or red in large, plum & grape varieties).

We'll have more of those fabulous Sugar Snap apples this week (THE quintessential fall apple...loved by all!). Plus a bunch of other varieties from sweet to tart to round out your selections. Hosui Asian pears will still be going strong, and we'll try to bring more cider this week! From the garden, we'll be seeing more fall vegetables...hopefully carrots, kohlrabi and other yummies are in store for this weekend!

Yellow Springs Farm Goat Cheese

We will have chevre with honey and sage this week—after our Farm’s honey harvest in August, we are ready to share this seasonal favorite  with everyone. Lots of cheese choices , plus goat milk caramel sauce with cinnamon for apple season.



Lindenhof Farm

This will be first week to order your fresh Thanksgiving turkey. We will provide you with a paper order form or you can order online. Thanksgiving is only 8 weeks away. We have three sizes to choose from, small, medium or large. These are dressed and ready for your oven.  We also offer a heritage turkey, which is mainly dark meat with lots of rich flavor.  In addition we will have plenty of fresh chicken, fresh turkey, fresh eggs and lots of pork beef and lamb meat to select.

Our fall clearance sale continues this Saturday.  Stop by for some great bargains on perennials and shrubs this weekend.  Fall is the perfect time for planting!
