PennDOT to Repair Concrete Pavement on Area Highways

There will be lane closures on Gay Street next week.

The following is a press release from PennDOT.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said announced that construction is scheduled next week to repair worn concrete pavement on four highways in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties.

PennDOT is investing $6 million to repair deteriorating concrete on 18 state highways in the Philadelphia region. Crews are repairing and improving 63 miles of roadway by sealing concrete pavement joints and cracks, and patching.

The upcoming work schedule for West Chester is:

From 8 p.m. Tuesday (July 10) to 6 a.m. Wednesday (July 11), lane closures will occur Route 3 (Gay Street) between Matlack and Worthington streets in West Chester Borough, Chester County;
