Gallery Walk

  • When: Friday, Oct. 5, 5 - 9 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown West Chester
  • Why Go: Enjoy art openings and special events throughout downtown.  See their website for the map and schedule.
  • Cost: Free

39th Annual Marshalton Triathalon

  • When: Sunday, Oct. 7 at 8 a.m.
  • Where: West Bradford Fire House and the Marshalton Inn.
  • Why Go: This is a very unique course triathalon.  The ten miles starts with a bike ride down to the Brandywine River, then racers will pair up to canoe three miles, after which they will have a 2.4 mile walk and finish it off with a 2.3 mile steep bike ride to the Marshalton Inn.  For the competitive Ironman/Ironwomen - you must bring your own single canoe. All proceeds go towards the West Bradford Fire Company.
  • Cost: $35

Fall Movie Series at the Park: Puss in Boots

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: West Goshen Community Park
  • Why Go: There are only two more movies at the park this year.  Bring the family out and enjoy Puss in Boots under the stars. 
  • Cost: Free - Donation of dry goods is encouraged.

Freedom Fashion Show 2012

  • When: Sunday, Oct. 7 from Noon - 4 p.m.
  • Where: Mas Mexicali Cantina, West Chester
  • Why Go: Mas Mexicali Cantina and the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County have teamed up to present the first annual Freedom Fashion Show. Enjoy lunch, entertainment, silent auction, vendors and a fashion show. Boutiques and salons throughout the borough of West Chester have provided the auction and runway items. Join in on the fun and support a great cause!
  • Cost: $40, $45 at the door

Fall Harvest Festival

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 6
  • Where: Newlin Grist Mill, 219 South Cheyney Road, Glen Mills
  • Why Go: Historic demonstrators and craftsmen give demonstrations of crafts and trades of the 18th century.  New this year, New Grist Mill will be featuring brick making, iron making in a bloomery furnace, and potash production.
  • Cost: Free
