Since its opening, the Constitution Center in Philadelphia has been a favorite destination for my husband and me. If you haven’t been there, the initial exhibit takes place in a theater in the round, with a live actor describing the history of our country’s Constitution. Dramatic videos circle overhead showing how the Constitution, and particularly the Bill of Rights, continue to define us. I leave the auditorium feeling blessed to be in a country which values unity and plurality , “E Pluribus Unum”. “We the People” created a unique democratic government and we the people continue to take responsibility to maintain that government.
“We the People” of Chester County are charged with maintaining our local municipal and County government as well. Hats off to the many, many, individuals who contribute their time and energy to participate in governance at every level, in every way; whether as a School Board member, a Planning Commission member, a Judge of Election or a Party Committee person.
