Putting the Pieces of the Puzzle Together... Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex disorder: no two children with ASD will be completely alike and each will have a unique set of strengths and needs. This one hour seminar will focus on the various aspects of a child’s development that can be affected by ASD, as well as identify distinguishing characteristics and behaviors. We will briefly explore the potential impact of ASD on the child’s family and community. In addition, we will provide practical resources and activities to support the healthy development of children of all abilities.
