I would like to officially thank the Tea Party and the other loons like Harry Hoopi and Star Thrower. You have managed to show the community your true colors and help the good guys win. You are all smug, egotistical, judgmental, and ignorant. The community has seen through your cheap skate ways. Your dreams of class warfare and aiding the wealthy have failed. I am very proud of the community for doing the right thing and for that I THANK YOU. I dedicate this win to you Star Throwup, your help has been and always will be truly appreciated.

Sean Carpenter lost and now he can go back to being the fraud and phony that he is! Go back to York, PA and act like a father and take care of your son!

West Chester voters have spoken. We're done with stunts. Much like shutting down our gov't for 16 days -- costing all of us $24billon -- didn't work -- the old SB dragging it's feet, spending our tax $$$ on high priced negotiators instead of rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in the negotiation process, and taking 3 years and we still don't have a teacher's contract -- it didn't work. I sincerely hope that the 'new' SB and the teachers come to the table -- work together -- look at each other with a sense of good will for the benefit of our students and District -- and get this done. And Mr. Murphy -- if you had any honor -- you'd step down. Because the way you presented yourself at the last SB meeting -- is unacceptable.

People need to understand that the team that won in WCASD is bipartisan. They looked like Dem candidates on the ballot sheet because they won the Dem primary. School boards should be non-political, and if bills filed by state senator Andy Dinniman (D-19) and state rep Dan Truitt (R-156) eventually come to fruition, school boards will no longer figure in primary elections--which would help a lot to ensure that the sort of politicization that plagued the WCAD board beginning with the 2009 election comes to a permanent end. School boards should deal in education, not ideology.
Star Thrower November 06, 2013 at 10:48 PM
The main problem with your assessment Nathaniel, is that the teacher's union, which is far from bipartisan, cares only for its own survival, at the expense of human and animal life in Pennsylvania, while it invests hundreds of millions in hydraulic fracturing ... completely destroying the watersheds and aquifers of the marcellus shale regions - - - and making their blood money sending the LP gas to China - lets look at the big picture why the parasitic union needs to be euthanized.
Carlos November 07, 2013 at 06:47 AM
Um your Republican Governor is THE MAIN person pushing fracking and will be on the Marcellus board of directors when he loses the next election. Take your meds Star Throwup! You are losing it more and more every day, just like the Tea Party.
Stephanie Markstein November 07, 2013 at 07:59 AM
I am amazed that the toxic comments just keep on coming. Nathaniel is right -- let's keep fingers crossed that we can get politics out of education. And the WCAEA investing in fracking? I think not. That's Tom Corbett's expertise.
Star Thrower November 07, 2013 at 08:57 AM
You're always amazed at at the toxic truth Markstein - since the WCAEA is also part of PSERS .. Nathaniel is lost in translation - by getting politics out of education, does that mean you vote to nullify the corrupt pension plan negotiated with union donations to the criminal legislators?? - union donations that came right out of taxpayer wallets !! - I am as Anti Corbett as anyone else .. but the problem started when Rendell left office and his whole EPA inner circle left to work for the shale industry .. Sarah Battisti, Barbara Sexton, K. Scott Roy, all retired on the taxpayer dime to become highly-paid double-dipping go-betweens for a whole new Corbett EPA department who knew absolutely nothing about the environment .. or fracking - - - SO YOU THINK NOT huh? Markstein, you don't even think - you now get classified with DDIQ CARLOS (JIM DAVISON)

ST - on one level you seem to know details about a number of things yet your comments are so toxic that no one hears you…which is frustrating on so many levels -- and not just for you.

Getting back to education... a school board's job is to give direction to public education. According to the WCASD site: "A primary responsibility of the Board is to set district policy, which is then implemented by the administration. Another major responsibility is to approve the annual budget and set tax rates." The new board begins next month, and will certainly take a more pragmatic and less ideological view than the outgoing board(of which 5 members will, however, remain). If party mattered, one would say there will be 4 conservative (as far as now known) R's, 3 moderate R's, and 2 D's. But let's hope politics won't matter any more to the Board, only the public interest. And some day maybe even I's will have a chance to serve.
Star Thrower November 07, 2013 at 10:43 AM
McDonald - toxic is in the eye of the beholder - absolutely nothing is more toxic than a parasitic fringe unionist who who has borrowed this once great country into oblivion.
Star Thrower November 07, 2013 at 10:45 AM
Getting back to the big picture Nathaniel, instead of your cherry-picked opinion of a school board's primary responsibility - - - not to mention your sycophantic opinion of who is pragmatic and who is ideological - I would love to hear your version of how the deficit bursting unionist unfunded liabilities debt was not ideological.
Country1st November 07, 2013 at 12:10 PM
…your last 2 comments just validated my point...
Star Thrower November 07, 2013 at 02:55 PM
You still don't understand "THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER" McDonald - all your points are union-sycophantic, having no real meaning to those of us who have been betrayed by a once education-friendly group that has become immeasurably overwrought with greed.
RoxyD November 07, 2013 at 03:54 PM
Why on earth does anyone engage with Star Thrower? She is obviously NEVER GOING TO GET IT. Ignore her and hopefully she will move on. Just like her friends on the school board.
edufan November 07, 2013 at 11:05 PM
Uh, what, Star? You are making absolutely no sense. The fact is, 4 new people were elected to our school board who will focus on excellent education and who will work with teachers and administrators to make sure our district will be the best. Their focus will be education based, not party ideologies. Yes to a better direction!
Star Thrower November 08, 2013 at 12:21 AM
Another brain-dead comment from a union sycophant - you don't get to just forget your union's past ideological conspiracies like they never existed - let's hear your version of the legislative corruption you participated in - while you're at it ... love to hear why your pension fund is destroying our water supplies :)
Cathy Binder November 08, 2013 at 04:56 AM
And by this analysis the 401k plans of countless citizens are doing the same.
Star Thrower November 08, 2013 at 07:08 AM
Which countless citizens was it, who conspired with taxpayer dollars to negotiate their criminally fabricated pension? - oh yeah, none of them did... DECKER!
Cathy Binder November 08, 2013 at 07:11 AM
Oh so it is only PSERS that invests in this industry? You are laughable
Star Thrower November 08, 2013 at 07:21 AM
Teachers who direct the future of children have a duty to a higher standard - you union propagandist teachers spend all your time laughing at those who believed in you Rosemary
Star Thrower November 08, 2013 at 07:29 AM
your fellow teachers at Stetson must be counting the days until you are gone for good
Cathy Binder November 08, 2013 at 10:07 AM
Are you threatening Mrs Decker? Careful
Star Thrower November 08, 2013 at 10:31 AM
Everyone knows you are Rosemary Decker - You threaten yourself daily with your lying comments and your Cathy Binder persona - Cathy Binder does not even exist - I don't ever threaten anyone , that's for punk sycophants like carlos DAVISON - what I do is unmask fools like you - your fellow teachers and unemployed newly qualified teachers will take care of your sickness - why don't you get in touch with that lawyer you threatened me with... fool :)

Salty sour and pathetic. Funny how you called it Bitter Direction when you are the only bitter one. You have moved on to typing nonsense and jiberish. Is this one more step in your mental illness progression? That big loss must have hit you hard. :)
Star Thrower November 08, 2013 at 07:30 PM
lol - did you already forget how I exposed your imbecility about Fracking? - don't worry I won't let you forget what a mini-IQ you are :)
