West Chester Election Results

The unofficial numbers are in favor of the Democratic ticket.

Tuesday appears to have been a big day for West Chester Democrats.

The Democratic ticket won all four open seats on the West Chester Borough Council in the Nov 5 election, according to the unofficial results from Chester County.

The closest race is in Ward 3, where the unofficial numbers have Edwin Brian Abbott ahead of Republican Matt Holliday by less than 20 votes.

Things were also tight in Ward 5, where Don Braceland pulled ahead of Republican Carl Wenrich Jr., by about 30 votes.

West Chester Mayor Carolyn Comitta ran unopposed and will retain her office.

2,219 ballots were cast in the borough, according to the county.
