Positions Held Previously: In years past I have volunteered at the polls, though I have not held any political office.  I have, however, served as President of a statewide professional organization, PA Association of Mortgage Brokers, as well as a not for profit organization (2 terms), Brandywine Valley Ski Association.  I have also served on the Board of Directors of West Chester United Soccer.

What do you think can be done to improve traffic and car travel in the area:  It would help the flow of traffic if the traffic lights were timed in such a way that automobiles traveling at a maintained speed might catch green lights while traveling on Gay, Market, and Chestnut Streets. Encouraging the use of parking garages by making them more affordable than on street parking could ease the "circling" of automobiles looking for on street parking. Creating a "bicycle friendly" environment in town could also encourage those within a reasonable distance to use alternative transportation to visit the Borough.  Considering a free shuttle system could also improve the flow of traffic.  The cost of any of these ideas must, of course, be carefully considered.

Explain which issues motivated you to run: No specific issue motivated me to run for office. I have worked and/or lived in West Chester my entire life. I have seen the Borough at its best when businesses were open on Wednesday and Friday nights, and when we enjoyed two theaters in town. I experienced the departure of businesses from the Borough during the 70s when the Exton Mall opened.  West Chester has come back to life in recent years. I believe that I can be a healthy addition to Borough Council, bringing a fresh viewpoint to the Council, while giving back to the community I love.

Is there an area in which you think the current administration could have performed better, and how would you address that area: I believe that some members of the current administration concentrate on what is relevant to their particular Ward rather than what is good for the Borough as a whole.  I will look at each situation presented and attempt to govern based on the good of the entire Borough.
