The Chester County Fund For Women and Girls Holds Awards Ceremony

The group awarded over $1.4 million in grants to local charities.

The Chester County Fund for Women and Girls awarded over $1.44 million in grants to local charities at an award ceremony held on June 14, at Graystone Hall.

According to a press release, the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls " chose 18 organizations who have demonstrated their commitment to girls’ positive development, women and girls’ health and safety, and women and girls’ economic self- sufficiency and independence to receive funding for their critical programs and services."

The fund has two grant programs: the general fund grants program and the award-winning “By Girls, For Girls” grants program.

“As we get ready to mark our 15th year of being a part of this community, we also look with great humility on the critical needs and the work that lie ahead,” said Beth McGarrigle, chair of the Fund’s Board via press release. “The incredible work our grant recipients do is so essential to our mission of improving women and girls’ lives, and thereby their families and communities. I look forward to this opportunity to recognize and celebrate their work and to share with the community all that the Fund has planned for the future.”

The fund also provided a list of charities that received grants and the programs those grants will support.
