Severe Thunderstorm and Flash Flood Warnings in Effect

Both watches are in effect through Sunday evening.

Continuing a trend that has lasted all week, the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch and a flash flood watch in effect for the West Chester area until late Sunday evening.

Storms have been moving through the area all Sunday afternoon, and the trend is expected to continue through the evening hours.

With the storms comes the potential for rain on ground that is nearly saturated.  Due to this saturation, the risk for flash floods is high.
