Patch Picks: Places to Volunteer

There are plenty of charitable organizations in the West Chester Area, and the thing they could use the most is you.  Volunteers.  So if you're looking to do some good and help out here's a list of just a couple of the places around town that could use your help.

• : The United Way of Chester County is always looking for volunteers to help improve the lives of West Chester residents in need.  They provide countless services, and they help you find the right fit for the work you want to do.
• Meals on Wheels Chester County: Based in West Chester this organization provides hot meals to homebound seniors.  There is no cooking required; volunteers simply need to drop off the food and spend a little time.
• Another organization based in West Chester, they aid the homeless by helping rehabilitating them, finding them jobs and working with them to obtain independent living. 
• A great place to volunteer if you're an animal lover.  The Chester County SPCA has various volunteer opportunities.
