Night Lane Closures for 202

The construction continues.

The following is a press release from PennDot.

Overnight lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Route 202 between the Westtown Road and Route 322 interchanges in West Goshen Township, Chester County on Monday through Friday (Feb. 20-24) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the removal and installation of overhead sign structures, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today.

PennDOT advises motorists to allow additional time for travel on this stretch of Route 202 during construction or use an alternate route because backups will occur.

The sign structure replacement operation is associated with PennDOT’s $19.3 million project to rehabilitate and resurface 4.3 miles of Route 202 between the Route 100 Interchange and High Street. Construction began in May 2010 and is scheduled to finish in May 2012.

Allan A. Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $19,377,081 project that is financed with 100 percent federal ARRA funds.
