More Ramp and Lane Closures Scheduled for Route 202

Construction continues are portions of the road located in West Goshen.

Drivers in West Goshen will face delays and travel restrictions when traveling between Route 3 and Route 100 on 202 in West Goshen.

Below is a construction schedule provided by PennDot via press release.

"From 8 p.m. Sunday (April 3) to 5 a.m. Monday (April 4), crews will reconstruct shoulders on the ramps at Route 202’s interchanges with Route 100 and Route 322.  The ramps – Route 322 on-ramp to Route 202 South, the Route 202 North on-ramp to Route 322, and the Route 202 North on-ramp to Route 100 North -- will remain open to traffic but motorists may encounter slowdowns when traveling on them.

On Monday and Tuesday (April 4-5), motorists will encounter restrictions on ramps at Route 202’s interchanges with Paoli Pike and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) for milling.  Work on the northbound ramps will last from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and the southbound ramps will be under construction from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The ramps will remain open during construction.

On Monday through Thursday (April 4-7) from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., the northbound right lane on Route 202 will be closed between the Paoli Pike and Route 100 interchanges for roadwork.

On Tuesday and Wednesday (April 5-6) from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the southbound right lane on Route 202 will be closed between the Route 100 and Route 322 interchanges for concrete saw cutting.

From 8 p.m. Friday (April 8) to 8 p.m. Saturday (April 9), the southbound right lane on Route 202 will be closed between the Route 100 and Route 322 interchanges for concrete pavement removal and replacement.

From 8 p.m. Friday (April 8) to 5 p.m. Saturday (April 9), the northbound Route 202 off ramp to Paoli Pike and the Paoli Pike on-ramp to Route 202 North will be closed and detoured for shoulder reconstruction. Posted detours will take Paoli Pike traffic south on Route 202 to the Route 3 (West Chester Pike) Interchange where drivers can then access the on-ramp to northbound Route 202.  Northbound Route 202 drivers heading to Paoli Pike will be detoured north on Route 202 to the Boot Road exit, then left on Boot Road and left onto the ramp to Route 202 South and proceed south to the Paoli Pike exit.

Motorists are advised to allow additional time to travel on Route 202 during construction because backups and delays will occur.

This work is part of PennDOT’s $19.3 million project to rehabilitate and resurface Route 202 between the Route 100 Interchange and High Street in and Westtown townships, Chester County.

Construction crews are working to rehabilitate and improve 4.3 miles of Route 202 between the Route 100 Interchange and High Street. The project began in May 2010 and is scheduled to finish in May 2012."
